Don't stop 'till you get enough

Or do, actually. Personally I have more than enough. I am such a mega shopper. It's obscene frankly, and blogging has turned it into even more of an obsession. I'm using this post as a way to share my wishlist with you without spending any money, because I really have spent SO MUCH already this year. January has always been a shopping-fest because of the sales, but now there are sales ALL THE TIME! I have no will power once something I want is on sale, but I must have will power if I want to go on holiday this year. Don't get me wrong I'm not struggling financially, but I'd like to not feel like I'm struggling once I get back from a holiday like I normally do and besides which, I really don't have space for more stuff. I'm already realising that I need to do another mammoth ebay sale.... my dress wardrobe is beyond full! I might have to create a new 1 in 3 out rule!

Anyway, here is the stuff that I really want to buy, but am actively resisting!
It is taking a huge amount of will power to resist Claire Richards dress from Fashion World. I've seen it on enough bloggers to know that I genuinely love it, but at £75 I certainly need a special offer or sale before I can justify buying it. I would wear this loads though, so I hope I do manage to get it in the sales one day!
Ahh Simply Be is so funky at the moment. Want it.... don't need it!
Is this the jumpsuit I've been searching for?! Not gonna find out anytime soon!
A denim top that isn't a shirt?! like it!
DAMMIT MARISOTA! I got the Gatsby dress to wear to my friends wedding (it's gonna have a 20's vibe) which is a lovely dress, but it's grey, which is certainly not my ideal colour. Then I saw this, and I was like WHY?! This dress is flipping delicious, but I can't really justify buying two dresses for one wedding now can I?. My heart is a little bit broken, I want this very badly :(
This is another heart breaker from Marisota.... flapper style, IN YELLOW! Oh how my heart is longing for a yellow dress. They're everywhere in the standard sized world, but nowhere in the plus size world. This is delicious.... would totally wear this to the wedding too. Should have waited to buy a dress..... hindsight.
And while I'm at it, this Maristoa dress is bloody lovely too. Any of these dresses would have worked for the wedding, and all of them would be better colours on me than grey. Omph.
This was just added to Asos, and I'm finally feeling like they might release some cool pieces... I've been so bored with Curve for the last few months..... I much preferred it when they made big versions of some of the pieces from the standard range. There are so many good things on asos, but not much of it goes above a size 18. This dress is lovely though!
This looks like a great summer jumpsuit. My experience with the sizing of curve jumpsuits is that the stretchy ones are massive, but the non-stretch ones are tiny. This is non-stretch (& £40!) so I will have to wait and see if the price comes down before I try it!
This Forever 21+ dress is so 70's... I love 70's clothing so I'm super excited that it's coming back round again (thanks to American Hustle!).
I like the mixed patterns in this simple New Look Inspire dress. It would be such a good everyday dress!
Errrr..... Lovedrobe, can I have this dress please?! As bored as I am of bodycon, I'm making an exception for this because it's totally excellent!
I think I've worked out how I feel about Taking Shape now.... most of their clothing is not my style; it's a bit old fashioned for me, but their 'eplisse' range is much more my cup of tea. I like the girly and feminine prints and cuts, so when they released this dress I really wanted it....
...then I saw Betty Pamper in it and was like 'Yep, that's going straight into my wishlist!'.

Very are gonna need their own section, 'cause frankly out of all the shops around I want more from Very than anywhere else. Typically none of this is from their plus size collection (which I find rather uninspiring) but these are all items that go up to a 24 as standard, and it's taking a large amount of will-power to not order some of these things! Here goes....
ARGH! Perfect smart casual maxi dress! This would be so good for work. This one is proving very hard to resist!
This jumpsuit would be so mega cute on the beach wouldn't it?! Possible holiday wear I feel!
I love how light and full this maxi skirt looks.... I actually like the spearmint coloured version of this but couldn't get a large image!
I think I've had this dress in my basket about 7 times now. I find it SO exciting. my brain is currently split between 'YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE' and 'YOU HAVE OVER 100 DRESSES YOU IDIOT'!.
The colour of this dress is perfect. If I hadn't bought so many shirt dresses recently this would be testing my resolve in a big way!
As much as I love the 1st pink dress above, I sort of feel like this one would be the more sensible option. It's friggin' lush huh?!
OH MY GOD! This bright jumpsuit has sent me into a spin! I love everything about it, and one day I hope it will be mine (and that the 24 will fit my big ass!).

Gatsby

I feel like I've been going on about this forever, but I wanted a roaring 20's style dress to wear to my friends wedding next year, and having accepted that the short a-line flapper style dresses don't fit or suit me very well I've been on the look out for something suitable. You wouldn't think it would be so tricky, but I refuse to wear black to a wedding and the majority of the nice Gatsby-esque dresses available are black. Black is for funerals in my book (it's my book... you guys can obviously do whatever you want!), I like something a little less sombre for weddings personally!

Whilst choosing frocks for my Christmas party post I looked at Marisota and saw a dress called Gatsby.... on sale, and as I'd never ordered anything from them before I also got an extra 20% off and free next day delivery so I figured it was worth trying, it would be rude not to!
Ooooohhhhh I proper feel like I'm in an episode of House of Elliott! I went for a size 24 as there's no stretch and it's heavily beaded. I'm not wearing any shaping undies here (which I will on the day) and I've got a fantastic deco head band (not the one I'm wearing above fyi!). Not decided on the shoes, but I think this dress is so lovely. I like the length and the beading is really beautiful!
Totally plain on the back so not much to say about it!
What do you think?! With some heels and maybe a side bun?! The dress is available here, and I've been very impressed with the service from Marisota - hope it will be as good when I'm not a 'new customer'!. I would say I could have fitted into a 22 on top, but it would certainly have been too tight on my big bottom, so go for your normal size if your top heavy, size up if your bottom heavy!

More Christmas frocks!

Oh my lord, since my mammoth Christmas dress post so many new and exciting dresses have been released! I'm not allowed to buy anything new until next year after my recent splurges but I thought I'd just show you guys some more dresses that I'm loving at the moment!

First up is this STUNNER from my favourite designer Anna Scholz. Bless her cotton socks, she has just release this limited edition party dress for £95..... her crepe corseted dresses are normally in the region of £190 so it's a special purchase. I really want one of these, but after spending £260 at her sample sale I think I might have to curb my Scholz habit until next year :(

If this sparkly dress from new look wasn't a mini I'd have had it..... lush!

This New Look inspire dress is so incredibly girly that I wouldn't normally look twice at it, but it's just so very pretty that I want to try it on and flounce about in it!

Sticking with New look, and the girly theme, I love the lace on this dress and it's such a bargain for £26.99!

Yours clothing have some mega cute dresses at the moment, I love the gold on this one!

There are few thing in life I would like... to have a bosom like the model above is one of them, for this dress to be longer is another! If you're more of a mini skirt fan than me then this sexy sequin dress from Yours clothing would be amazing for Christmas!

She wore blllluuuuuuuueeeeee velvet! Nuff said! Yours clothing velvet skater dress.

I think Simply Be have hit the nail on the head with this deco inspired beaded dress. Want this very badly, although I'm not sure this flapper shape works on me!

I do tend to forget about Marisota, mainly because SImply be sell so much of the same stuff, but occasionally I'll notice a batch of dresses that I really like and this Grace dress is one of them. So pretty, lace with sparkle in a shape that would flatter most figures!

I was trying to get my colleague to buy this in the standard ASOS range last week, so I was so happy to see it in curve! HOLOGRAPHIC SEQUINS!

Deco Decisions

My boss is getting married next year, and her wedding dress is a beautiful beaded deco style white gown. Ahhhh too delicious! After helping her investigate deco style shoes I've decided that I'd like to wear a flapper style dress to the wedding as I'd like to keep the theme going! Flapper & deco dresses do tend to be pricey because of the bead work, and the classic flapper dress shape is not a shape I normally wear but I think I'll try some out and see if any of them work for me. I'm actually hoping to get something from ebay to save money (and because the Simply be rise Rosalie beaded dress I really wanted is no longer available in my size!) but in case that doesn't happen, here are the deco dresses I've managed to find in a plus size....

Simply Be

Fashion world do seem to have the old plus size flapper dresses on lock down, Most of the dresses I've found have been simply be / marisota ect. This dress has such a good bodice. The beading is fabulously art deco, but the black skirt means that it's no suitable for me to wear to the wedding. Some weddings are weddings you can wear black to, but not the one I'm going to! Even my boyfriend will be in a pale grey suit!

If this dress was available in any colours other than black I would certainly choose this for the wedding. The shape, the layers and the sleeves are so lovely, but alas... only available in black :(
I always loved this dress, the hemline is so unusual and the beading is super deco. This is a very strong contender!

Oh wow! I saw the nude coloured version of this dress on a few bloggers last year, and thought it looked much better in real life than in the pictures. I didn't know it came in this amazing teal though! It's unusual to find this style of dress in bright colours so this really is quite special. This is now the strongest contender!

Marisota

This had a lovely deco inspired bodice, but is rather spoilt by the hanky hem I feel. Nice colour though.
I'm super tempted by this ott Coleen Nolan flapper dress, it's navy rather than black and would look amazing with bare legs and a vintage hair do. Probably still a bit dark though... again I wish this was available in more than one colour!
Oh my god I love the beading on this.... what a perfect Art Deco pattern! Black again though, so sadly it's not the one!

Asda George

This is actually one of my favourites. The only thing that's holding me back is the drop waist style, although I think it may be worth ordering to try as I'd certainly need the size 24 & I'm worried it will sell out! This is also available in black fyi!

Very

For me this dress is ALL about the pattern. It's pretty perfect, and is definitely on my 'for your consideration' list!
I think this might be the coolest dress of the batch. It's really beautiful. It's go the vintage deco detailing but it's quite a modern style. The only issue I have with this is the huge section of white in the middle. I'm so sure I'll spill something on this the moment I put it on! It's a maybe, I love it, but I might destroy it!

Let me know if you have tried any of these, or if you have seen any good Deco style dresses!
