Asos curve review 2020 #12

Today's post is about comfort!

So I tried the 24 in this dress and although I've decided it's not for me, I am sure this could be perfect for some other plus size beauties! Plus it's so cheap in the sale! I suspect that if it wasn't black then I would have kept it! very comfy thanks to the stretchy skirt and batwing sleeves

I tried the 28. Something I didn't realise when I tried the 26 was that this is very static! No good having an oversized shapeless jumpsuit if it sticks to your legs!

Now this is more like it! This is what I wanted from an oversized jumpsuit!

Pockets and adjustable straps. I got the 26 because jumpsuits like this have traditionally been too short for my body and sizing up helps. It's properly oversized so the 24 would have been fine. It's a soft linen and is super comfortable. Love it. Hope they make it in more colours as I suspect this will sell out very quickly indeed!

See how happy this colour makes me?!

Last but definitely not least, this city chic soft bra is awesome! My day to day bras are all city chic. I fucking hate bras that have thin backs because they roll up and cut into me. City chic don't. Anyway I never really wear non-wired as they don't give me good shape or support, but this one is cute and I think it's gonna be great to wear at home in this (frankly too bloody hot!) Weather! I normally wear a 44DD but got the 44C/D and it's totally fine.... would certainly fit bigger breasts than mine!. It's a lovely set. Oh and ps, the pants are worn over another pair of pants on the model, they don't have two layers of fabric in reality ;)

Like I said, City Chic are my boobs boo's! So I liked the coral non-wired bra and therefore figured I'd try one of their other bralettes. This one is less structured and therefore even more comfy. Love it. I got the L which says size 20, but I think it would be pretty big on 20. It's not massively tight on my back and I'm a size 24/26 on top normally (42/44 back depending on brand!), so if you have a small back then it might be worth sizing down. It's a retro fit on the boobs so unless you are very busty you should still get the Marilyn pointy look without overspill. I'm sure I don't need to explain the stickers but obviously the hearts aren't on the bra, right?! I put them on the photo to cover my nips ;)

So here is the thing, asos mistakenly put photos of the blue bralette (above!) On the listing for this cobalt bra, but I love city chic and thought I'd see what the actual bra was like. It's lush! Super soft lace, wired, non-padded bra in a stunning colour. Annoying that there aren't matching knickers but I like to mix and match anyway, so who cares?!. Great sizing. Spot on as per usual.

Scuba can be the most comfy fabric if it's not too hot. Super stretchy but allows for very cool sculptural designs. I love this dress. If it didn't highlight my double belly so much I'd certainly keep it (and wear it with a strapless bra of course!)

Always size down in scuba dresses because they're so stretchy. This is a 22 and bigger would have been too big on the top to stay up. Great on the bum. If you either don't mind lots of visible belly or have a different shape to me then this is truly a show-stopper! I don't wear shapewear because I like to be comfy, so this is just a bit too belly-in-your-face for me. If it had a pattern I defo would keep it!

Last up, I wanted something glam to flounce around the flat in. This wasn't it though sadly. Trousers are pretty cute (non stretch but comfy) and have an elasticated waist. The top however is stupidly small. Both size 26 but wouldn't hold my boobs so it's going back. If you have a smaller back or bust than me though, this outfit would definitely flounce-worthy!

Let's finish on a high note! This is a cracker of a dress. It's sort of perfect for lock-down or working from home because although on it's own, it looks pretty vampy (and I like to remind my partner just how foxy I can look sometimes) but it's also mega comfy, so I spent a lot of yesterday just lounging around in it, cooking, eating, playing games as well as posing and being a little strumpet! Best of both worlds right?! I actually have a very similar dress from asos. Black with a round neck. I assumed this would also be Jersey fabric but it's a bit more synthetic than that. Still nice, just a surprise! This is a size 24. It's super stretchy so pretty flexible size-wise! Adjustable straps too, so you can choose how low you want the neckline.

ASOS curve review 2020 #11

Some more Jumpsuits to share with you!

The page for this is either not working or has gone unfortunately! I've left the review in-case someone see is on ebay or something!

This one was a keeper. It's proper stretch fabric (which was unexpected!) And therefore very comfy. Fits nicely and would look great with a blazer I think. Shame it doesn't have pockets but hey-ho..... still cute. Size 26 fyi.

This made me feel like a clown. Size 26, non-stretch. Odd length!

It's more generous on the top than the bottom, but feels like it would loosen (and crease!) up after a bit of wear.

I had to get this in a 28 because it's non stretch and the sizing is off. Probably why such a nice jumpsuit is so cheap in the sale?! But the colour is perfection (bright, deep reddish pink, not true red as it looks online!) It's smart and it has pockets!

It's not too bad to get on but quite hard to get off as there is no stretch at all. Not one for those who panic because of restrictive clothing.... or those who need the loo urgently a lot!

I ordered the size 28 because it was the only size left in the sale.

This made me feel a bit frumpy. Mainly because I'm a bit straight up and down and so clothing that's looser on the top and tighter on the bottom tends to make me look more shapeless than I would like.

On the plus side, if you like this sort of shape, it's a fabric that falls nicely, has a bit of give to it and is easy to get on because of the zip back, popper on the cross over bust and elasticated waist. It's also a decent length in the body and is comfy. Plus pockets! Bear in mind though, that I'm wearing a size twenty-fucking-eight here.

This just looked very comfy. plus it has pockets! I don't have enough stretch jersey jumpsuits and I want some to wear round the house (since I spend almost my entire fucking life in my home nowadays!)

This was only available in a 26 and thanks to the firm elasticated waist, it fits very nicely. I find that Jersey clothing is always pretty generous from asos so I'd have preferred a 24, but I'm very happy with it!

So easy to get on and off. So comfy. Good length arms. Pockets. Just an all-rounder really!

Asos curve review 2020 #10

The stuff I forgot to take snaps of!

I got a size 28 in this dress and it was fine on the top half, but it was barely wrapped around on the hips, so it would be impossible to wear as it would open up every time I moved! Shame as it is lovely thick satin. If you are busty with slim hips this might be lovely on you!

Tried this in a sise 26. Too small. also quite scratchy synthetic fabric. Meh!

This just felt like a mess. nothing about it sat quite right.. not sure why!

I got the 26 in this but I needn't have. The skirt is very stretchy fabric so it was too big for me. I might get it in a 24 at some point because it is so comfy to sit down in (which is unusual for a little black dress!)

I can't tell you how this fits, because the size 26 had such small arms that I couldn't get it on. Non-stretch and feels cheap.

Size 24 was far too short in the body for my long torso. Bigger would be too loose. A real shame as I liked this one a lot!

This is cute but sadly too short in the body for me, so it didn't quite work. I tried the 24 and it was super comfy and really stretchy.

Have you ever wanted to dress like a squire in a an Arthurian movie? Then this is the top for you! I didn't like it. Non stretch and crunchy. Proportions just felt odd!

This is lovely! I got the 26 but honestly should have gone for the 24. I just didn't send it back because I used a discount code and Asos no longer do exchanges (BOO!). It's generous and very low cut, super soft and sexy, while still being rather cutsie. My partner liked it and I liked wearing it! Recommend this one ;)

This is awesome. Fits surprisingly well. Stretchy and comfy. Great for either sexy times or fancy dress!

Okay, lets be honest here; you can't have a low cut sports bra. If you jumped in this your tits would just pop right out of the top! Sizing is ok but the design is not fit for purpose!

This is cute but not the right proportions for me personally. It's a fair bit more generous on the top than the bottom, so if you are more of a triangle shape this would be great (or just want your lower half sucked in loads, which I don't like on myself as I'm a bit straight up and down already!). I'd size down on the cups through. I'm normally a 44DD in Figleaves Curve, but the cups were noticeably bigger on this piece.

This was so small. SO small!

I tried this in a 26 and liked it. It looked cute but casual and felt like it fit ok (although it was only just long enough for my torso!), but because it's non-stretch fabric, it wasn't too comfortable when I sat down in it. I didn't think there was much point wearing something like this (which isn't flattering to be honest!) if it's not comfy. I've added the next size up to my wishlist so I might give it another go soon!

I got this in a 26 and it fit fine. It's very cool and I LOVE the transparent pockets. I just know it would make me very hot because I'm rubbish at wearing fabrics that don't let my skin breath. Plus I wasn't sure it was really me. I recommend it to anyone who thinks it's them though because it's pretty unique!

That's it guys! Back soon with one of my normal posts of me in the clothes I'm reviewing!
