Asos curve review 2020 #8

Greetings from lock down. I couldn't resit trying some bits when Asos had the money off sale items, so I went on a summer jumpsuit voyage!

This denim jumpsuit is non-stretch. Baffling to me that a fitted, catsuit style jumpsuit has been made without any give! This is the 26 and sadly it's too short on the body for me and so it's going back.

This is a 26.... quite different sizing from the one above huh?! The top is massive, the hips are not.

If I sized down to a 24 it would still be too big on the top, but it would then be too small on the hips!

On to the keepers! Well this is just so very cute isn't it? I wore it out in the sun today and it's awesome...
Pockets!

This is the 26 but the 24 would also probably have been fine as it's good sizing.

I love it. I now own a strapless bra for if I wanna go full off the shoulder, but I don't care much about bra straps showing with this sort of thing! You can actually wear it pulled up over the shoulders easily as the seam is elasticated, but it looks just as cute off the shoulder. Also with the tie on the bust it's very flexible.

Ahhh now this beauty! I tried the 26 on first (above) but I'd also ordered the 24 and tried that one after just because the under bust section wasn't very tight on me.

A hair brushing and a bit of make-up later.....

This is the 24. better! Bit sad that this doesn't have pockets but it's still beautiful!

It's a sort of oat / yellow / nude colour. Not sure stone quite hits the nail on the head in terms of the real colour! It's crinkle fabric which is always great for a bit of give, and perfect for this sort of hot weather.
It's a tiny bit sheer so needs nude or light undies (unless you are happy to flash your pants and bra just a teeny tiny bit!) and on most people it would be quite long. It bites my ankles as I'm 5'8" ish!

It doesn't hide my belly but somehow still manages to be very flattering. Love it! In terms of jumpsuit realness, this isn't very easy to get on and off, so if you get a bit panicked by getting clothes on and off then this isn't for you. the buttons are very fiddly and it's a struggle to get arms in and out, but for me it's worth the hassle for how nice it looks. Oddly enough, although the 26 was easier to get in and out of, it has slightly different loops for the buttons and was SO fiddly to unbutton and button up. Not good for those who have long nails! Ahh life..... pro's and cons!

Asos curve review 2020 #7

I've not bought much clothes-wise during the pandemic / lockdown. I've had a few splurges that have generally been returned without comment, because although I technically have TIME to blog, I haven't had the DESIRE to, for some unknown reason. Possibly because I'm sometimes not in a state to take photos as I've not even dressed, let alone sorted out my face and hair!

I have a few things to show you though!
This seems to have sold out, but thought I'd leave my review in, in case it pops up on ebay or something!

This maxi has been with me for a while. I got it for a bargain price in the sale and felt really summery and pretty in it.

This is a size 24 and it's lovely. Not too tight, not too loose. Decently weighty stretch fabric that falls nicely and isn't too static.

I was sad to return this dress.... I needed the size 22 and it's quite generous and is the sort of fabric that would loosen up and get baggy with wear. I returned it because the label that's sewn into the seam on the hip really ruins the shape! Oh well, it's an oddly warm fabric for a summery dress anyway. Would be cute with black tights in colder weather.

This maxi is lovely. Super soft and slinky!

Downsize unless you want it to look very oversized. I tried the 24 and ended up getting the size 20 as I wanted relaxed rather than baggy. Love that it has long sleeves as that's pretty rare in maxi dresses!

Also, let's bring back hair crimping!
