Late late late, so double the ootd's!

 I've lost my paranoia about wearing hipster hats. I can't cope with woolly hats unless it's properly cold (like 2 degrees and below!) but these kind of hats are not as hot and still protect me from the drizzle!

 I've had these shoes for ages and finally got round to wearing them.

 I may be very nearly 33, but that doesn't stop me appreciating plaits, bunches and pigtails!

 You can see how thin my hair is when it's like this. Actually it's not thin, there are lots of strands of hair, but they're all very fine!

 I went to a conference on Thursday so I dressed all nice and that. I took this pic before it started in the upstairs loos (my skirt looks so shiny and lush!) but then I found the downstairs loos.....

 Yes to the God-Light!

 So all I need to bring my cheekbones out is a very bright light above my head at all times!

I liked the t-shit untucked as well as tucked in, but I like to get my belly out now and again so i went with tucked in the end!

One of my readers has had problems with this coat going bobbly and looking ragged, but mine seems fine and I properly love it.

 I so love the tiny foxes on my jumper!

 I was well in to this outfit.

 I've been looking at this jumper every time I've been to Primark recently, but I was worried it would be too short for me. It is too short for jeans, but totally acceptable with skirts! I want the orange version too, might have to go back and get it!

 This skirt goes with everything because it's totally ace-of-base.

Dressing for Christmas - The black edition

Christmas is in full swing for me now. Thinking about outfits and menus mainly, but right now I'm in a Christmas dress space. Last year I was all about velvet. This year I seem to be all about black, with embroidery or sequins! Having said that I want special dresses for many occasions - works Christmas party, faux Christmas with my boyfriend, Christmas eve and Christmas day. Oh and boxing day..... then there's new years of course! OBVIOUSLY I have some frocks I can wear for the not-such-a-big-deal days, but I'd like a couple of new things for the big events, particularly the works do!

 Oh sweet lord! This is a perfect dress. I love love love it. Wish it wasn't £120!

This Lovedrobe dress was on my list last year in it's previous incarnation. I still think it's awesome!

If your less in to massive shoulders and general 80's stylings than me, then this Koko dress is a more low-key version of the Lovedrobe one, but is still lovely!

I would so rock up to the works Christmas party in this super OTT dress! What a stunner!

In terms of a dress that's classic, classy and would look amazing on pretty much anyone, I think this one takes the prize. I'd add some coloured shoes - red / green / gold / glittery... something super festive!

I think it's always good to have a simple option...  not everyone likes to get as massively over dressed as I do after all! I think this has super cute little details, like the cross over cap cleaves and small embellishment. Subtle, but still a great LBD!

From simple to totally over the top! This is really quite a corking dress. Very expensive, but extremely beautiful.

I'm looking at this as the more affordable version of the dress above! I do know that this dress is depicting flowers and foliage, but this colour combo makes me think of snowflakes and ice crystals. Love it!

You know how I like to dress in clothes that make me look like I'm in fancy dress / period costume? ModCloth like that too! This dress is awesome!

Velvet, sequins, asymmetric, structured shoulders AND patterned. Carmakoma really knocked it out of the park with this dress!

This M&S plus dress is so cute. It's too short, drop-waisted and boxy, yet somehow it works and I really love it!

 I've always fancied these Igigi dresses, in both this length and the maxi version. They are so super feminine!

Last but definitely not least, we have some serious Art Deco action. I've seen this dress in so many variations (none of which go above a size 16) and now we finally have it up to a size 26.... well, it's lovedrobe so 24 might be more accurate!. Christmassy and fancy dress-like all at once. LUSH!

This Lipstick Boutique dress is just delicious. This is on my list of dresses to try if my planed party outfits don't work out! I often don't get on with sequins but I find myself them over and over again!

 Oh. My. God. I am actually dying over this Igigi dress! It is beyond special! I would feel like a Hollywood goddess in this! I would also not be able to pay my rent, but I think it would actually be worth it.....

Duffled!

The ladies at Taking Shape are so sweet.... I told them I was looking for a coat with a hood that would fit my rather large bottom, and they sent me the duffle coat I liked to review! I'm such a lucky girl!

Oh my god I love it! I'm not saying that because it was given to me to review, I'm saying it because I totally love it!

I really liked this on the site, but it looks much shorter on the model (who I'm sure is WAY taller than me). It's so much better in real life because of it's totally excellent length.

Hoods should never be undervalued in the UK. I just don't understand why so few winter coats have hoods. I wore this coat to work today and had the hood up pretty much the whole time because of the constant drizzle! I'm also impressed with the pockets which are deep. This is excellent for me - room for my massive phone and I don't have to worry about my oyster card falling out when I'm sitting on the tube!

So then, on to the specifics! This is a size 24. I tend to wear a size 22 in taking shape dresses, but I pretty much always have to wear a size 24 in coats. This is almost entirely because of my bottom and belly. I like to have room for big jumpers too, so I like a bit of space. This size 24 is a good fit....

One of the things I love most about this that the sleeves are generous. I often find coats too tight on my upper arms, so it's always a joy to find coats that don't cut of my circulation at the armpit! The sleeves are also long (good for when I forget my gloves) which is great for me, but may make them too long for shorter ladies. You could fold them up easily enough though.

I have to say that I do like a long coat. This is ideal as a) it's warmer and b) it covers my bum if my skirt rides up or I'm walking up stairs!

 To quote Harry Hill, You like the lining don't you sir, hmm? hmm? you like the lining? hmm?!

I'm hearing the theme tune to Jonathan Creek......

This coat is warm, comfy and it kept me dry today. It's a winner! Get it here, I think I'll be wearing mine to death this winter!
